Representative office of FUJITSU GENERAL (EURO) GmbH in Russian air conditioner market

MOSCOW REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE established

Started full-fledged activity in January, 2013

Our sales subsidiary in Europe, FUJITSU GENERAL (EURO) GmbH, established FUJITSU GENERAL (EURO) GmbH, MOSCOW REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE (hereinafter "MOSCOW REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE") in the city of Moscow for the purpose of survey and collection of market information and sales support for local distributors and customers in Russia Federation (hereinafter "Russia") and Commonwealth of Independent States (hereinafter "CIS"). The representative office started the full-fledged activity from January 1, 2013.

The Russian economy is continuing to grow with the background of abundant underground resources such as crude oil, coal, natural gas. Its economic scale is in the equal level to other European countries, and according to the IMF forecast, the stable growth is expected in the future due to the participation in WTO in 2012, and also, the economy of CIS countries is expected to grow in the future.

As for the climate in Russia, most part of the country is subarctic area but as the temperature exceeds 30°C in many days in summer, the demand for air conditioning equipment is increasing. The worldwide demand for air conditioners in 2011 increased by 128% (*2) compared with 2006. On the other hand, the growth rate in Russia in the same period was much higher as 253% (*2) due to the stable economic growth and modernization of urban area, and now it has become the biggest market in Europe. In the future, too, the market is expected to further expand due to the transition to inverter type of air conditioners.

FUJITSU GENERAL (EURO) GmbH has been promoting the sales of air conditioning equipment in Russia through the local distributor since 1993, and, by the establishment of MOSCOW REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE, will promote further sales expansion in Russia and CIS countries by formulation of marketing strategy and side support function for distributor's activities (providing new product information, technical training, support of product supply, etc.) through the information collection and market survey rooted in the local site.
