We will start selling energy-saving 6 horse power (HP) 8 room and 2HP 2 room DC inverter type multi air conditioners adopting DC inverter control technology for overseas market starting with Europe in the middle of March and subsequently Asia, Australia and Middle East.
With this new release, together with 3HP 4 room inverter type multi air conditioner which is already in the market, our product line-up will be strengthened with range of 2 room, 4 room and 8 room inverter types to meet the users' needs ranging from personal houses to stores and offices.
As two or more indoor units can be connected with one outdoor unit allowing to save the space for installing outdoor units, multi air conditioners are often used for stores and offices in urban area in Europe where consideration for surrounding scenery needs to be taken. Also, the demand for home use is steadily expanding in overseas market as the number of households installing two or more air conditioners is increasing.
The demand for inverter type air conditioners is rapidly increasing not only in Japan but also in overseas markets as it has such excellent features as quick starting-up, energy saving, comfortable air conditioning. This trend is especially conspicuous in the matured market of Europe where penetration ratio of air conditioner already exceeded 20%. The expansion of demand is also expected in China and other Asian countries where economic growth is remarkable.
As high value added products to meet above needs, we intend to market " 6HP 8 room inverter type multi air conditioners " mainly aiming at the demand for luxurious houses, stores, offices and " 2HP 2 room inverter type multi air conditioners " mainly for personal houses in Europe, Asia, Australia and Middle East.
Both types of the new products are using alternative refrigerant R410A and pursuing high efficient operation by adopting DC inverter, enhanced energy saving and down-sizing of outdoor units as well as environmentally-friendly products.
The " 6HP 8 room inverter type multi air conditioners " realized the industry's top level*1 energy saving operation both in cooling and heating operations through the adoption of DC inverter control and scroll type compressor. Also, the industry's top level*1 of compactness and space saving of outdoor unit enhanced considerably the easiness of installation for buildings and houses. Furthermore, the efficiency of piping and wiring works has been considerably increased by the adoption of piping separation system and new transmission line wiring system of our own development. Up to 8 indoor units including ceiling cassette, ducted and wall-hung types can be connected.
The " 2HP 2 room inverter type multi air conditioners " accomplished the highest " Rank A " standard level in European Energy Labeling Scheme by the adoption of PAM control and DC twin rotary compressor. Also, outdoor units are designed aiming at compactness to excel in the installation for multiple dwelling houses and detached houses. The model line-up for indoor units will be strengthened by sequentially adding ceiling cassette, ducted and floor types to the wall-hung type developed this time.

The industry's top level*1 energy saving in cooling and heating operation has been realized by adopting DC inverter control and scroll type compressor.
Also, DC inverter control made it possible to provide comfortable air conditioning environment with minimal variation of room temperature. (COP 3.2 in cooling operation and 3.4 in heating operation)

A compact outdoor unit with reduced height has been developed by using down-sized compressor, high density heat exchanger and improved fan together with adoption of R410A refrigerant. By designing the height of the unit lower than veranda, which is demanded in Europe, the installation in condominiums, stores and office buildings in urban area where consideration for surrounding scenery has to be taken has become possible. Also, the compact design of the outdoor unit enhanced the easiness of installation to buildings and houses.

Piping system to cope with wide variety of installations of overseas luxury houses and commercial buildings.
The piping system with maximum 70m of pipe length, maximum 30m of height difference and maximum 115m of total pipe length has been designed to cope with wide variety of installations for overseas luxurious houses and commercial buildings.

1) Efficient piping work
In the conventional piping system, the piping according to the quantity of indoor units was required, but in this new products adopting pipe branching system of our own development, space saving and efficient installation work have become possible as the joint connection can be made.

2) Efficient wiring work
In the conventional wiring system, the connection according to the quantity of indoor units was required as the outdoor unit and indoor unit are connected one to one, which posed the problem of efficiency due to troublesome wiring and installation work. In the new transmission line wiring system of our own development, wiring work has been reduced realizing efficient installation work and enhancement of maintenance as the wiring between outdoor unit and each indoor unit can be made on one line.

2HP 2 room inverter multi air conditioners
1: Realizing industry's top level*2 energy saving, high performance and comfort
Through the adoption of DC twin rotary compressor and inverter " PAM " control, the industry's top level*2 energy saving ( COP : cooling 3.35 and heating 3.90 ) has been realized and the highest " Rank A " standard level in European Energy Labeling Scheme has been accomplished.
Furthermore, high performance with maximum cooling capacity of 7.8kW and heating capacity of 9.0kW, top level in 2HP class, and comfortable air conditioning environment with minimal variation of room temperature have been realized.
2 : Compact outdoor units excelling in easiness of maintenance and installation work
1) Improvement of maintenance
In the conventional outdoor unit, only the side plate could be removed, but the newly developed outdoor unit has been so constructed that the top plate of the outdoor unit can be easily removed and the maintenance work from above has become easier when installing the unit below the window in multiple dwelling houses.
2) Outdoor unit excelling in easiness of installation work
A compact outdoor unit has been developed with adoption of small-sized compressor, high efficient heat exchanger and high efficient motor fan together with R410A refrigerant. ( About 5% less in volume compared with conventional type )
The outdoor unit excels in the easiness of installation to multiple dwelling houses and detached houses, and is so designed that operation can be made even under the condition of low outside temperature.

3 : 9 configurations available by 4 models of wall-hung indoor units : ( ASY7 / 9 / 12LMACW , ASY18LMA-W )
Selection from 9 configurations using 4 models of wall-hung indoor units can be made according to the installation site such as multiple dwelling houses and detached houses. We will further strengthen the model line-up expanding to ceiling cassette, ducted, wall-hung, floor types, etc.

4 : Enhanced easiness of installation work with maximum 30m ( chargeless ) pipe connection
Installation work has become easier with adoption of automatic expansion valve as replenishment of additional refrigerant is not required even for the connection of long pipe to remote place. The pipe length to suit ordinary detached house has become available.

5 : Improvement of air purifying effect by providing light recovery deodorant filter and wasabi electrostatic filter.
Air purifying effect has been improved with adoption of triple filter incorporating light recovery deodorant filter matching deodorant pre-filter and wasabi electrostatic filter.
