Realizing industry's top class(*1) energy saving performance

New release of commercial use modular type multi air conditioning system "AIRSTAGE®" V-II series for North America

(2 outdoor unit models/33 indoor unit models)

Our company will release commercial use modular type multi air conditioning system "AIRSTAGE®" V-II series realizing industry's top class(*1) energy saving performance IEER(*2) 21.7 for North America from the end of March.

As the regulations of energy conservation are more and more tightened recently due to the energy conservation policy of various countries of the world, the higher energy saving performance is required in the commercial use air conditioning system which accounts for large part of power consumption at stores and offices.

In the commercial use air conditioning system in North America, the central air conditioning system in which all rooms are air-conditioned uniformly is prevailing but as the enhancement of high energy-saving performance is increasingly requested, the demand for the multi air conditioning system by individual air-conditioning system controlling the air conditioning for each room minutely is growing steadily.

In order to meet such needs, we developed the commercial use modular type multi air conditioning system "AIRSTAGE®" V-II series realizing industry's top class(*1) energy saving performance IEER(*2) 21.7 as well as high installation space saving and designing flexibility.

The new series is the leading-edge commercial use air conditioning system with capacity of 72,000Btu (21.1kW) to 288,000Btu (84.3kW) combining up to 3 sets of outdoor units, and has accomplished industry's top class(*1) energy saving performance by our original energy-saving technology such as "Round-corner type high density multi-path heat exchanger", "Sine wave DC inverter control". Furthermore, by adopting upright type structure of the outdoor unit and "corner-cut air intake structure", the installation space saving has been realized while keeping high energy-saving performance. Also, by adopting the centralized remote control system, the operating efficiency of the total system was enhanced.

By introducing the "AIRSTAGE®" V-II series to the market, we will aim to increase the business of commercial use air conditioners for stores and offices and further expand the business in North America together with home use air conditioners.

The "AIRSTAGE®" V-II series achieved the industry's top class(*1) energy saving performance IEER(*2) 21.7 by our various original energy-saving technologies

i.  High efficiency operation by adopting original "Round-corner type high density multi-path heat exchanger"

High efficiency operation was realized while downsizing by making upright external design of outdoor unit and adopting original "Round-corner type high density multi-path heat exchanger". Furthermore, high performance is maintained by securing the air intake opening even when making multiple connections by "Corner-cut air intake structure".

Also, the heat exchange efficiency enhanced significantly and high energy-saving performance was realized by "high density multi-path heat exchanger" adopting Ø7mm thin copper pipe.

ii.  High efficiency operation of compressor and low noise operation of noise by adopting sine wave driving system DC inverter

High efficiency operation of DC twin rotary compressor was realized by adopting sine wave driving system DC inverter with less rotation loss and low noise operation of air blowing fan was realized by adopting DC fan motor.

iii.  Energy-saving control function according to use conditions

The electricity charge can be saved by various energy-saving functions such as "Upper and lower limit setting of room temperature" function to prevent excessive cooling or heating, "Peak cut" function to cut power consumption increase at peak of heat in summer and "Light off timer" function for preventing workers from forgetting to turn off the lights of corridors or meeting rooms when finishing work.

2. Installation space saving and high designing flexibility

i.  Installation space saving by adopting upright type external design of outdoor unit and "corner-cut air intake structure"

The significant space saving design was realized in the outdoor unit with the width of 930mm while pursuing high efficient operation by optimizing the design of the housing to make use of the feature of "Round-corner type high density multi-path heat exchanger" and adopting "Corner-cut air intake structure" to cut one corner of the housing

ii.  High designing flexibility by realizing maximum pipe length 1,000m and maximum external static pressure 80Pa

Flexible designing in case of large-scale offices or hotels has been made possible by extending the maximum total pipe length to 1,000m and the pipe length after the first branching up to 60m.

Also, by achieving industry's top class(*3) external static pressure 80Pa and enabling the connection to long air blowing hood, the designing of installation to each floor of high-rise building and balcony has become easier.

3. Easy-to-control centralized remote control system

i.  System controller (Software) with strengthened remote control function

Centralized control and remote control possible with one unit

Up to 1,600 indoor units are controllable with one unit of system controller and up to 20 buildings can be centrally controlled in the business office or facility where multiple buildings are lined up.

Furthermore, up to 10 sets of system controllers can be remote-controlled such as centrally controlling the air conditioning system connected to multiple areas for multiple retail stores, restaurants, etc. Also, it is possible to monitor one system controller simultaneously from 5 places, which is helpful for structuring flexible control system in such case as change of monitoring system at daytime and nighttime.

ii.  Touch panel type central remote controller to operate variety of control functions easily

Simple operation by 7.5 inch large size LCD display

The control information can be displayed by icon or text only by touching the screen. 7.5 inch large size LCD display is adopted to be able to make various operations, settings and checking of details easily.

Variety of centralized control function to control up to 400 indoor units by one controller

Up to 400 indoor units can be controlled by one touch panel controller. Variety of centralized control function is adopted for monitoring the operation of registered indoor units, controlling air conditioning by total/group/individual and yearly schedule, emergency stop function, etc.

iii.  Central remote control system easy to view and control even for small scale property

Central remote controller to be able to control up to 100 indoor units is developed.

The switching of screen display according to the quantity of indoor units to be controlled can be made. The easy-to-view and simple-to-control operating environment ranging from the control of several units for condominium to the control of small and medium scale office buildings can be provided.
