New release of modular type multi air conditioning system for buildings
“AIRSTAGE” VR-II (cooling and heating simultaneous operation type) for China

(4 outdoor unit models・19 combinations/68 indoor unit models)

Our company will release modular-type multi air conditioning system for buildings “AIRSTAGE” VR-II series (10/12/14/16 HP, cooling and heating simultaneous operation type) realizing high energy-saving performance and enhancing work flexibility for China from March.

In recent years, as the regulations of energy conservation are more and more tightened in China, the high energy saving performance is required for the commercial use air conditioning system which accounts for large part of power consumption at stores and offices. Also, in case of commercial property, simultaneous operation of cooling and heating is often demanded such as cooling in the computer room and heating in the office room. Furthermore, the good installation efficiency dealing with the buildings of various structures is an important factor.

The new series is the commercial use air conditioning system having maximum 48HP (134.4kW) capacity combining maximum 3 outdoor units and realized Energy Label Class 1(*1) in China by our original energy-saving technology such as “High density multi-path heat exchanger”, “Sine wave DC inverter control”. Also, in the cooling and heating simultaneous operation type, as the exhausted heat generated in the cooling operation is used for heating, the energy-saving effect is high and as the switching between cooling and heating can be freely made for each room, detailed air conditioning control can be made. Thus, both energy-saving performance and comport are realized.

In the installation aspect, the facility designing efficiency was enhanced by adopting the compact “cooling and heating switching unit” and “corner cut air intake structure” of outdoor unit.

By adding the VR-II series to the lineup, we will aim to further expand the air conditioner business in China.

Our company is already introducing the cooling and heating simultaneous operation type in Europe, Australia and North America and by releasing it in China, the biggest demand country, this time, we will promote in all the main markets of multi air conditioning system for buildings.

1.High efficiency operation realizing Energy Label Class 1(*1)

“AIRSTAGE” VR-II series (cooling and heating simultaneous operation type) realized high energy consumption efficiency by various original energy-saving technologies and at the same time, allow for further high efficient operation by the “cooling and heating simultaneous operation” utilizing exhaust heat generated during cooling operation for heating operation.

i)  Realizing high efficient operation by “Round-corner type high density multi-path heat exchanger” and “Upper and lower individual refrigerant control”

In addition to the efficient “Round-corner type high density multi-path heat exchanger” (thin copper pile of Ø7mm, round-corner shape), our original operation control function is adopted to divide the heat exchanger to upper and lower parts and properly control the refrigerant volume flown into each part according to the air volume to be taken into the heat exchanger, by which the maximum performance of the heat exchanger is secured and the high efficient operation is realized.

ii)  “Distributed operation control” fully utilizing multiple heat exchangers

The heat exchange efficiency is substantially enhanced by “Distributed operation control” function making full use of the heat exchanger of each outdoor unit according to the required capacity from indoor unit. The compressor can maintain the most efficient and stable operation without operating by the maximum load. Also, the reliability of the equipment is enhanced as the operation is not concentrated on one outdoor unit.

iii)  Realizing high efficiency of refrigerant circuit by adopting large capacity (16HP) DC twin rotary compressor

The operation is integrated into one compressor by adopting DC inverter control of sine wave driving system with less rotation loss and the newly developed 16HP twin rotary compressor.
The capacity loss is reduced compared with the conventional way of combining two compressors and the efficiency is enhanced.

2. “Cooling and heating switching unit” enhancing installation efficiency and work flexibility

In the “AIRSTAGE” VR-II series (cooling and heating simultaneous operation type), the installation efficiency and work flexibility are enhanced by the outdoor unit adopting the newly developed “cooling and heating switching unit” and “corner cut air intake structure”

i)  “Cooling and heating switching unit” to be selected according to installation site

“Individual type” to be installed easily even in the narrow space

The height of the unit is suppressed so as to be installed even in the narrow space under the roof. Control boxes are installed on the right and left sides to enhance the installation efficiency

“Collective type” to be worked simply with less pipe connection points

4 “Individual type” units are collected into one case and the pipes are connected inside beforehand. The pipe welding points at the work site are substantially reduced and the installation space is also reduced compared with lining 4 “Individual type” units so that the space of the building can be utilized efficiently.

ii)  Other features (common with conventional V-II type)

  • Outdoor unit with installation space saving design adopting “Corner cut air intake structure”
  • Enhancing work flexibility by adopting long piping designing up to 1,000m total pipe length
  • Easy installation in each floor of high-rise building and balcony by the outdoor unit of external static pressure 80Pa

3. Controller making detailed controls and central control instrument

i)  “New touch panel type remote controller” enhancing operation easiness significantly by newly adopting energy-saving function

  • Enhancing operation easiness significantly by adopting touch panel
    The screen can be switched by one touch and the required operation can be made easily.
  • Further strengthening the energy-saving function
    Such functions are added as function to prevent excessive cooling or heating by suppressing the range of indoor temperature to be set beforehand and function to eliminate the useless operation by the “timer to prevent failure to turn off”.
    As for the “timer to prevent failure to turn off”, the time to operate the timer can be set. As one example, such detailed control is possible as “operation continues during regular work hours and operation turns off automatically after certain time from the start of operation during over time work hours”.
  • Display by various languages
    Display can be made by 7 languages of English, Chinese, French, German, Spanish, Polish and Russian

The lineup of outdoor units was developed for 10HP models up to 48HP in 2HP increments. The selection is available from variation of total 19 models. Also, total 68 models of 20 types of indoor units from 2.2kW to 25.0kW are prepared.
