Realizing industry's top(*1) energy-saving performance
New release of floor-standing type inverter air conditioner for China

Our company developed and released 2 models of floor-standing type inverter air conditioner realizing industry's top(*1) energy-saving performance for Chinese market in the middle of April.

The demand for room air conditioners in China is about 21.1 million sets(*2) (actual result in 2008), accounting for 35.6% of the whole world, and expected to further grow steadily in the future in the mid-and-long term. As characteristics of home use air conditioners in China, the floor-standing type is popular accounting for 25% of the market.

On the other hand, in order to deal with the global environmental issue and electricity shortage, the social requirement for energy conservation is rapidly heightening and the energy conservation regulation for air conditioners has been tightened from September, 2008. In the new energy conservation regulation(*3), the energy-saving rank labeling system from “Grade 1” to “Grade 5” is enforced and the regulation will be further tightened in the future.

Under such circumstances, our company developed a floor-standing type air conditioner for home use realizing the industry's top(*1) energy-saving performance making use of the energy-saving technology such as inverter control which has been already adopted for air conditioners marketed in various countries of the world.

The new product has acquired the “Grade 1” in the new energy conservation regulation(*3) by achieving the industry's top(*1) energy-saving performance SEER(*4) 4.65 (25LCC) and 5.18 (19LCC) with adoption of our original “high density multi path heat exchanger” and “vector PAM inverter control”.

Furthermore, by enhancing the maximum output power of the compressor with “vector PAL inverter control”, the industry's top(*1) low temperature heating capacity 8.2kW (25LCC) and 6.5kW (19LCC) at outside temperature 2℃ has been realized

By preventing the increase of power consumption due to filter clogging with adoption of “automatic filter cleaning” function of our own development, energy-saving operation is always maintained, and environmentally-friendly designing is also considered by setting stand-by power consumption while not operating at less than 0.05W.

Moreover, external appearance with high class design matching a living room is incorporated into the design.

Other than above 2 models, we will introduce 3 models (AGQA25 / 22 / 19LBC) of standard type floor-standing air conditioners of “Grade 2” in the energy conservation regulation.

We will make further efforts for expansion of air conditioner business by positively introducing products excelling in energy-saving performance in Chinese market.

2．Improving energy-saving performance in actual use

  1. Adopting “automatic filter cleaning” function of our own development to prevent the increase of power consumption due to filter clogging with dust
  2. Reducing stand-by power consumption to less than 0.05W (conventional model: about 3.0W)

3．Powerful and wide air flow to ensure comfortable living in every corner of wide living room

  1. Enhancing comfortable living by sending air to the four corners of the room with large-size horizontal and vertical flaps and powerful air flow

4．High class design matching a living room

  1. High class surface finish with glossy pearl coating and automatic open-close panel
  2. Easy-to-read large-size temperature display and illumination bar display to show the operation mode with 5 color light
