Strengthening Product Line-up of Inverter Type Air Conditioners
for Overseas Market

New release of 5 types of inverter air conditioners
developed with our original energy-saving technology as a core

We will start selling 5 types of new products ranging from small split type to large multi type of inverter air conditioners from this May for overseas market developed with our original energy-saving technology as a core aiming to strengthen the product line-up and expand sales.

Inverter type air conditioners aim at realizing the enhancement of comfortable air conditioning and excellent energy-saving performance by such features as quick starting-up and smooth temperature control are the products developed in Japan. More than 90% of room air conditioners sold in Japan are of inverter type, but inverter type accounts for only about 10% of all room air conditioners yet in overseas markets. Although non-inverter type is main yet, people's attention for inverter type is increasing more and more, and the demand is steadily growing because of increasing needs for comfortable air conditioning and energy saving due to environmental issue in various countries. (125% compared with previous year, according to our company's survey)

We have started the development of inverter air conditioners in Japan at an early stage tackling the pursuit of comfortable air conditioning and energy-saving performance positively and this time, developed total 5 types, 18 models of indoor and outdoor units ranging from small wall mounted type to multi type making full use of the energy-saving technology and air flow technology accumulated in the past and with our original new form "Ceiling Wall" type as a core. We will aim to strengthen the line-up of inverter air conditioners, and to expand sales in overseas markets where the demand is expected to increase.

The small size new form "Ceiling Wall"^*1 type air conditioner with core technology of air flow for air-conditioning to be released this time is the most advanced energy-saving product and will be marketed in overseas markets after released in Japan. It has always kept high energy saving performance, adopting the world's first^*2 "Automatic filter cleaning structure", and equipped with "2 wavelength UV^*3 pasteurizing lamp" pursuing healthiness as for powerful clean function and "Negative ion" generator refreshing air in the room. Moreover, it is also the high value added product realizing "Rank A" of European energy-saving labeling scheme.

4 other types are also realizing comfortable air conditioning and excellent energy-saving performance by such functions as quick starting-up and smooth temperature control.
