We will start selling Plasmavision^®W PDS6101, a new 61-inch type plasma display of the world's largest class (screen size 135.1 x 76.0cm) incorporating full digital video processor AVM (Advanced Video Movement) system of our original development exclusive for PDP around the middle of February both in domestic and overseas markets.

In this new model of the high resolution Wide XGA type, the clear and high picture quality has been realized for various video sources by adopting AVM (Advanced Video Movement) system of our own development exclusive for PDP by which the panel performance can be utilized to the maximum in addition to the dynamic large screen.

The new model is aimed to be an ultimate home theater by adopting the newly developed Fine Mode function (hyper cinema mode) in addition to dynamic large screen of 61-inch type and high picture quality.

The Fine Mode function of our own development is the most suitable mode for viewing a movie in a relaxed atmosphere of the room reproducing in high fidelity the detailed sense of a material of the film in the original movie by lowering the brightness without reducing the gray-scale and suppressing the glaringness of the screen unlike the conventional cinema mode.

Furthermore, the high fidelity sound quality has been achieved, and with the built-in audio amplifier of the largest output power in the 61-inch type display and the combination with optional speaker of 4-woofer simultaneous impedance control system, the real live feeling of a movie theater can be sensed even with 2-channel system at home, thus making it the most suitable display as a main screen of the home theater.

In the commercial use, this new model realized, with its high performance, the variety of applications such as,

1. Display board at financial institutions or schedule board in railroad stations and airports for which a large high resolution display compatible with the image from real XGA to UXGA is required.
2. Public facilities such as information board or exhibition hall which need a clearly visible large display.
3. Various commercial sites such as hotels or restaurants which need presentation or entertainment feature by visual representation.

By the introduction of this new model, our product line-up has expanded ranging from 42-inch wide VGA type to 61-inch wide XGA type. Furthermore, the highly valued AVM system is now incorporated into all models, and the outstanding high picture quality and enhanced diverse functions for each class of displays have been realized to meet the needs of wide range of users.

Fine Mode function is our original brightness control system and most suitable for viewing a movie, being the latest system to reproduce the detail of the film faithfully.
