New release of "NOCRIA" series 3 models

We will start selling "NOCRIA" series 3 air conditioner models (AS28JPZ/AS40JPZ2/AS50JPZ2) adopting the world's first^*1 "automatic filter cleaning structure" and a health-oriented "2 wavelength UV lamp", which have been developed as air conditioners for domestic market for refrigeration year 2003 pursuing ideal air flow and realized considerable improvement of heating and cooling effect and the industry's top^*2 energy saving operation in entirely new style.

We have been long tackling the technical development of "air flow", which is an important element in air conditioning technology, as core competence. In recent years, we have improved the air flow from air intake opening to air outflow opening through the technology of "lambda-type heat exchanger" or "advanced respiration panel" (motor-driven intake panel) of our own development and enhanced heating and cooling effect as well as energy saving effect, which we are enjoying high reputation in the market.

The new "NOCRIA" series are air conditioner entirely different from conventional wall-hung type and have been developed as a compilation of our "air flow technology" pursuing ideal air passage from air intake opening to air outflow opening. Owe to this development, we realized "powerful vertical air flow" of floor level heating and "healthy horizontal air flow" of cooling without blowing cool air directly to our body, which improves comfort and healthiness. Also, energy saving operation has been substantially improved achieving the industry's highest^*2 "COP^*3 6.0". Furthermore, owe to the development of the world's first^*1 "automatic filter cleaning structure", the troublesome filter cleaning can be done automatically which reduce cleaning of the filter to about once a year while maintaining high energy saving operation.

The new series also adopt the world's first^*4 "2 wavelength UV lamp" in order to respond to the increasing health-oriented requirement. Pasteurizing by UV (ultraviolet) is widely utilized in the industry field's method of pasteurizing water and foods. By strong pasteurizing power of UV, the new products pasteurize and deodorize the room air during operation and the air inside the equipment after stopping operation, which provides clean air at anytime.

In the new form " N O C R I A " series air conditioners, an ideal air passage has been obtained by providing "air intake opening at the top of indoor unit" and "super-wide air outflow opening at the bottom of indoor unit" in order to realize the high performance of air blower allowing air flow efficiently and smoothly. Also, the air direction control range has been largely expanded horizontally as well as vertically through our original design of movable power diffuser and big flap.

1. "Powerful vertical air flow" realizing strong floor level heating.
   Ideal heating airflow can be obtained, providing ample warm air to the floor beneath, through combination of open movable power diffuser and big flap. Through this design, powerful and comfortable heating from floor level, which was difficult with conventional air conditioner, has been realized. The comfortable heating area^*5 has widened to 1.5 times^*6 of conventional type.

2. Healthy cooling by "healthy horizontal air flow" without blowing cool air directly to our body.
   The newly developed big flap makes it possible to provide air horizontally through combination of power diffuser realizing healthy cooling without blowing cool air directly to human body.
   By providing air intake opening at the top of the new form of indoor unit, the blown cool air flows out more horizontally than conventional type without being inhaled to air intake opening again.
   Also, the air is flown 1.5 times^*7 further than conventional model reaching quickly every corner of even larger type of room.

3. Realizing the industry's top^*2 energy saving operation.
   In the new form " N O C R I A " series air conditioners, the performance of indoor unit has been considerably improved through ideal air flow and new arrangement of heat exchanger, achieving the industry's top^*2 performance in each class. ("COP^*3 6.0" in 2.8kW class)

The world's first^*1 "automatic filter cleaning structure" eliminates dust adhered to air filter with the filter automatically moving up and down when operation stops after certain time. The eliminated dust is collected in a dust box. Thus, the increase of power consumption due to clogged filter can be prevented keeping always the high energy saving operation.

By this structure, filter cleaning which was required about every two weeks in the conventional type is unnecessary, and it is sufficient to dispose the collected dust once a year.

   1. "UV^*9 room air clean" function which powerfully pasteurizes and deodorizes air in the room.
      Adopting "2 wavelength UV pasteurizing lamp" effectively acting on harmful bacteria, mold, virus, etc. floating in the air, the "UV room air clean" function powerfully pasteurizes and deodorizes air in the room which passes "UV unit". This air purifying function is one step ahead from conventional type.

   2. "UV inside air clean" powerfully pasteurizing and deodorizing internal part of air conditioner.
      When the "CLEAN" button on the remote controller is pressed, the dry operation starts inside the air conditioner and then, the low density ozone generated by "2 wavelength UV pasteurizing lamp" powerfully pasteurizes and deodorizes the internal part of air conditioner, which protects the air conditioner from the growth of mould, bacteria, etc. and prevents emission of odour and bacteria.
2. Preventing frosting, which causes the generation of mold in the room.
   "Full season dehumidification" of our own development.
   In addition to the conventional "cooling cycle" dehumidification, the "heating cycle" dehumidification which enables powerful dehumidifying operation even in winter when outside temperature is low. This is the most suitable function to prevent moisture harm in the highly airtight housing such as condominium in winter, keeping the room clean and comfortable throughout the year.
3. Refreshing air in the room. Equipped with "negative ion" generator.
   The " N O C R I A " series air conditioners are equipped with full-fledged electric negative ion generator, effectively spreading about 40,000 pcs/cc^*10 of "negative ions" to the whole room.
   "Negative ion", existing in nature such as forests or falls, is said to be useful in getting rid of stress and in relaxing the mind and body.

In the new form "NOCRIA" series air conditioners, the height was reduced from conventional 29cm to 25cm in spite of large capacity models.

The installation in a narrow space above window, which was difficult with conventional type, is made possible simplifying the work.
