"FUJITSU" AIR CONDITIONER AST24RGA WON
"BEST COOLING PRODUCT" AWARD
FOR THE FIFTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR IN AUSTRALIA
("Double Awards" together with "Best Industry Launch" Award)

Our air conditioner AST24RGA won the "Best Cooling Product"
Award for the fifth consecutive year at the "2002 Mingay Annual
Achievement Awards" ceremony held at the Sydney Star City's
Grand Ballroom on April 9 under the auspices of "Vertical Markets
Operations ", a publisher of the Australia's leading consumer
electric and electronics trade magazine "Counterpoint".
At the same time, we won the "Best Industry Launch" Award
together with the "Best Cooling Product" Award as a result
of the winter season campaign conducted by our Australian subsidiary,
Fujitsu General (Aust) Pty. Ltd, having been valued as the most
excellent sales promotion activity in the Australian consumer electric
and electronics industry. |

| 1.Outline of the "2002 Mingay Annual Achievement Awards" |
The "Mingay Annual Achievement Awards", having a history
of 71 years and aimed at the development of Australian consumer
electric and electronics industry, are presented each year for the
excellent products which contribute to the growth of the industry's
retail stores, and its name is derived from Mr. Oswald Mingay who
was an early pioneer of commercial radio in Australia and a major
promoter of the home electric appliance industry in Australia.
This year, the awards were screened by more than 50 well respected
retailers representing the consumer electric and electronics retail
industry in all states of Australia, and our air conditioners won
the Award in the "Best Cooling Product" category for five
consecutive years. |
| 2.Reason for Winning Awards |
Our air conditioner AST24RGA (24000BTU, Reverse cycle, Wall-mounted
Split type) which was chosen for the "Best Cooling Product"
Award was valued highly as the Australia's best selling air conditioner
of the year reflecting its excellence in product quality, service,
design, sales promotion, ease of use and technical innovation.
Our large air conditioners, along with AST24RSG (1998 & 1999),
AST30RGA (2000), AST30R (2001) won the Award for five consecutive
years.
Furthermore, our air conditioner won the "Best Industry Launch"
Award, one of the most honorable awards, which is the reflection
of the high recognition of the winter season campaign by Fujitsu
General Australia as the most excellent sales promotion activity.

The winning of the "Best Cooling Product" Award for five
consecutive years in Australia is a very honorable event for our
company and proves that not only our No.1 market share position
but also our high level technical strength and reliability were
recognized.
This year, we are planning to introduce the large-size inverter
model which has increasing demand in Australian market and will
continue our efforts for pursuing and offering excellent products
and services to our retailers and users in the future. |
