LPF-B601
Incorporating "FINE MODE" function of our original development
suitable for seeing movies
|
Owing to the commencement of BS digital Hi-vision broadcasting, rapid
growth of DVD market and terrestrial wave digital TV broadcasting scheduled
to start in 2003, the living environment is changing so that the dynamic
large screen and high quality picture which people could enjoy only in
the movie theater are now becoming readily available in ordinary homes.
Thereby, the home theater market is expected to further expand in the
future.
Under such market situations, we have developed the liquid crystal projector
"LPF-B601" for home theater incorporating "Fine Mode" function of our
original development and achieving high picture quality by utilizing various
technologies cultivated by the development of "Plasmavision® " and
data projector.
We will start selling those projectors in domestic and overseas markets
from July.
"LPF-601" is a liquid crystal projector for home theater use complying
with HDTV Standard "720p" in real image and realizing the industry's top
level of high brightness 1200 ANSI lumens by adopting a Wide 16:9 panel
and developing a new optical engine.
Furthermore, the new product is equipped with such functions suitable
for seeing movies as "Fine Mode" function (Hyper cinema mode) which is
highly valued in "Plasmavision® " and "2-3 Pull-down" function
reproducing movies faithfully.
"Fine Mode" function is the optimum mode which, unlike conventional cinema
mode, reduces the brightness without decreasing gray scale, suppresses
glaringness of the screen and reproduces faithfully the detailed feeling
of a material of the film in the original movie in a calm room.
"2-3 Pull-down" is the function which reproduces faithfully beautiful
pictures of DVD matching the number of frames of movie, and the real live
feeling of a movie theater can be sensed at home.

by adopting 5 image adjustment modes.

- "2 - 3 Pull-down" function incorporating automatic recognition
circuit of the number of film frames which reproduces beautiful
DVD pictures.
- Complying with HDTV Standard "720p" in real image and realizing
the industry's top level of high brightness 1200 ANSI lumens
by adopting the Wide 16:9 panel and the development of new optical
engine.
- Reducing fan noise by low noise design (about 30% less compared
with our previous models)
- Energy saving by about 10% when using "Fine Mode" function
